What is the process of recovering reclaimed floor tiles?

The process of recovering reclaimed floor tiles involves several steps to ensure that the tiles are in good condition and suitable for reuse. The first step in the process is to carefully dismantle the floor, taking care not to damage the tiles. Once removed, the tiles are cleaned and sorted according to size, shape, and condition. The next step is to repair any damaged tiles that are salvageable. This may include filling in chips or cracks, or replacing broken pieces with ones of a similar color and pattern. After repairing the tiles, they are cleaned again, this time to remove any debris or adhesive residue. Finally, the tiles are ready for resale. Antique tiles are highly sought after and can add a unique character to any living space.

The process of recovering reclaimed floor tiles is not just environmentally sustainable, it also allows homeowners to achieve a one-of-a-kind look in their homes. The durability of antique tiles ensures that they can withstand heavy traffic and moisture, making them suitable for both residential and commercial use. Overall, the process of recovering and reselling reclaimed floor tiles is an important part of preserving our historic architectural heritage while also promoting sustainable practices.
